In a European tender procedure, the multidiscipline design team consisting
of Benthem Crouwel Architects, traffic and cost specialists of Tyréns engineers
and landscape architects Mandaworks, both of Malmö, Sweden, have been appointed
one of the three finalist teams to develop a vision for the surroundings of the
central station of Lund, Sweden’s second oldest university city.
Next to the Municipality of Lund, other stakeholders include Skånetrafiken (body for public transport in the region of Skåne), Trafikverket (Swedish Transport Administration), Jernhusen (public station real estate developers), Lunds Kommuns Fastighets AB (LKF, the municipal housing company), Lunds kommuns Parkeringsbolag (the municipal office for parking), NIAM (real estate private equity) and Wihlborgs Fastigheter (commercial property developer).
