From brownfield to vibrant community: construction kicks off in Žižkov

At Prague’s Nádraží Žižkov, we envisioned a residential complex that brings together urban amenities, generous green spaces, and vibrant neighborhood life – offering the best of both city and nature. With the building permit for the first phase secured, construction can now begin on four apartment buildings with 280 homes, along with spaces for services, retail, and medical facilities.
More than housing, this phase marks the start of a new urban district — open, connected, and shaped through long-term collaboration with our client Penta Real Estate, SUDOP Invest, the City of Prague, and the public.
The overall plan includes around 550 apartments, with nearly half the area dedicated to public space: a central park with a water feature – the green heart of the project – open to residents and locals from surrounding neighborhoods alike. Completion is planned for 2028.
“Projects like Nádraží Žižkov go beyond just adding houses, they are about carefully stitching a new piece of city into its surroundings — socially, spatially, and over time.”
— Pascal Cornips, Partner and Architect
Defined by clear urban blocks, timeless architecture, and well-designed public and semi-public spaces, the project combines residential density with generous courtyards and active ground floors to create a sustainable new part of the city. We look forward to seeing one of Prague’s largest brownfield sites transform into a thriving neighborhood.
