Groundbreaking news for Žižkov

This week in Prague marked the ceremonial start of the construction at the former Žižkov railway station – the next step in the transformation of this former brownfield site into a thriving neighborhood.
Designed in collaboration with Atelier RA15, the project for Penta Real Estate initiates the development of Zizkov 3.0: a connected, open neighborhood rooted in its context and shaped through cooperation with our partners including Sudop Invest, the City of Prague, and the wider public. The deputy mayor of Prague and the deputy mayor of Prague 3 highlighted the project’s significance for the area, noting its ambition to become the new green heart of this part of the city.
As Pascal Cornips, architect and partner at Benthem Crouwel Architects, put it during the groundbreaking ceremony: “Seven years ago, together with ra15, we envisioned transforming this brownfield into more than a neighborhood - into a place where every home feels like living in a park, with the park as the green heart of a vibrant community.”
