Part of the preparatory activities for the new Multimodal Hub Schiphol (MHS) is to create a service that enables Schiphol to relocate lanes on the Jan-Dellaertplein towards the Koepelstraat. By doing so, space is created to renovate the square and build MHS subproject Bus.

The Koepelstraat has been redeveloped into an arrival passage to accommodate the growing volume of the organized transport services, including ride-sharing (such as Uber) and shuttle buses. Under the existing overpass, a covered waiting area has been established for passengers utilizing bus and taxi services. This operational layer incorporates lightboxes for lighting and clear wayfinding. Next to and beneath the overpass, a canopy structure has been installed. A sanitary cluster is integrated beneath this canopy

A covered walkway connects this space with the terminal. The walkway consists of black steel frames placed over the pedestrian area, with a canvas stretched between them. The steel frames are designed to withstand the weight of a safetydeck for future construction works. This dynamic structure has the added benefit of being detachable, making it fully recyclable.
